Happy 8th Anniversary of life with your humans, Cleo!  You and I, we don’t need perfect vision to see the joy an older dog brings to people! Thanks for Influencing Positively by showing folks that being blind is no big deal.  Woof, Fresca

From San Francisco: Sweet Shepherd Family Sends Celebratory Wags to Cleo

Look at this cute photo card and well wishes from a fellow dog lover of mine and amazing volunteer for Pets Unlimited in San Francisco, who also happens to belong to a sweet German Shepherd called Bear.

Hi there,

It's me, Bear. I hear Cleo has a birthday celebration coming up. I'm so excited I can't stop wagging my tail! To help celebrate her day, here's a photo of me and my family.

I know it's hard to tell us apart in the photo: I'm the one with the tongue hanging out of my mouth (that's me, Bear). Also pictured are Matt and Jen. I like this picture of me and my family for two reasons. 1. It shows off my goofy personality, and 2. I'm outside hiking with my parents which is one of my favorite things to do.

And I turn 6 later this month. I'm not sure if that means I'm a senior dog or not. My parents always tell me I still act like a puppy.

Happy Birthday to Cleo!
Love, wags, and dog kisses,
Bear

Senior dogs know how to soak up the sunshine. Adopting an older dog like me means you’ll benefit from my lifetime of learning how to live well. Right, Cleo? Hope you have a big sunbeam to rest in today and everyday. Happy Gotcha Day, girl!

From Spain: Sweet Gaia and Xispa send birthday love for Cleo

One of the farthest photo cards for our dog Cleo that we got in the mail came from España! Dos perritos dulces. Cleo's favorito!

image from www.grouchypuppy.com

Hi Cleo!

I'm Gaia and I live in Spain. I am 11 years old and was adopted two months ago by my wonderful family after being abandoned in a doorway of a house in a very small town, (at my old age can you imagine how cruel that was!) Anyway I am super-happy now and I just wanted to congratulate you for having a loving family like mine.

I send you a couple of photos of me and my friend Xispa who lives with me! Enjoy your day!

LOTS OF LOVE!

Gaia xxx

From San Diego: Helen Woodward Animal Center says Paws Up Cleo!

We're celebrating #Cleo8 all day! Now we have the cutest photo card ever of a kitten doing her impression of our dog Cleo. I think. Because Cleo does this with her arms, only with 90 lbs behind them instead of 9 ounces. Thanks to the Helen Woodward Animal Center for this adorable messenger of celebratory wishes!

Which Famous Ohio Artist loves cats and dogs?

Celebrating Eight Years with Cleo. One of the nicest aspects of going to a pet-centric conference is meeting people who know about Cleo and Grouchy Puppy. Besides keeping in touch with Rumblepurr, the very handsome Maine Coon cat, Cleo became very friendly with Brewskie Butt on Twitter in 2010.
