Five ways we can be more green with our dogs

Adoptable Senior Dog of the Week: Clarice

What is it about dogs and their ability to love, and their willingness to trust, especially older dogs who've known what life can be like? If you want to understand better what I'm talking about, meet Clarice [...]

Clarice is a Cockapoo, a special blend of cocker spaniel and poodle. She was brought into the shelter with maggots, ants, open wounds and foxtails all over her body -- brought in by the family!!

This angel is one of the sweetest, happiest little girls. Clarice holds no grudges against anyone. She is grateful for any and all the love and attention she gets.

Her story is one of the most heartbreaking stories, but you would never ever know it by Clarice’s love of life!

Dogs don't lie about love, and as you'll see with Clarice, they don't judge.

Her tail hasn’t stopped wagging since she arrived – and we do think her tail is broken, as well. Clarice is so ready to make a life with her new family, and a family will be very very lucky to have this cuddle muffin. We are not sure of her age, perhaps 8 years old and she weighs 16 pounds.

Her foster Mom reports:

Clarice is such a loving girl! She looks you right in the eye and is excited about everything! Mealtime, bedtime, car rides. She’s a good little walker with a special waddle in her hindparts and she gets attention everywhere I go! She may have been neglected, but she has nothing but love in her heart.
