Adoptable Senior Dog of the Week: Sunflower

Why adopt this week's sweet tiny dog we're sharing from Muttville Senior Dog Rescue? Well, what is the one flower that always makes you smile when you look at it? This answer is Sunflower, who also happens to be a gentle and mellow little Chihuahua blend who'll light up your life, while she melts into your lap.

Happy July 4th from Grouchy Puppy!

We wish everyone a safe and happy Independence Day! Today will be a day spent with Cleo and the rest of our family in San Francisco. And as the sun goes down and the fireworks begin at Fisherman's Wharf, I will be snuggling with my sweet old dog. Cuddles from mama or papa are more effective than drugs when it comes to calming Cleo. We're human Thundershirts...

We'd say "Senior dogs are awesome"

Every morning we ask a dog-related question on the Grouchy Puppy Facebook page. Recently we asked people how would they respond to someone who didn't believe having a senior dog in their life could be fun. Given how wonderful our older dog is, and how fun she makes life, it was inspiring to read the many answers.

Do you have a senior dog at home too? Have you had to correct assumptions that your older buddy wasn't fun anymore? What did you say?
