Dogs who like to spoon furniture remind me of my dad

What I love about my sweet old dog is her ability to nap anywhere. She reminds me of my dad when he was a beat cop. He changed shifts every 5 weeks and became a professional napper!

When he was home, if he was sitting still for more than five minutes at a time, he'd nod off and catch 40 winks - just like that!

Retired Couple Raise Awareness for Senior Dog Adoption with Short Film

How would you react after watching family after family walk past sweet adoptable senior dogs, heading straight to the puppies? Barbara Gross saw this happen so often that she was inspired to write and direct the short film when she worked at the Humane Society of Wickenburg, Arizona.

When you're dog has skin allergies, a dermatologist is part of the team

Our veterinarian specializing in dermatology retired recently. Dr. Reinke was part of Team Cleo for many years. Cleo is a very allergic dog so I was conflicted when the vet's letter arrived announcing her decision. I was happy for her. She was kind enough to suggest a new practice for us to try, but still, I was bummed. It has a taken a long time to curate this team of trusted caregivers.

Adoptable Senior Dog of the Week: Licorice

This soulful wee dog was found by a Muttville volunteer running down a busy street. No one came to claim this sweet little black Chihuahua, and due to his age, color and breed he didn’t stand a chance in a shelter.

Muttville was happy to take this little boy Licorice in, he is super sweet, and he knows that he hit the jackpot! Now he needs a forever home. He is quiet and gets along with everyone, dogs and all humans! We think he is 10 years old and he weighs 10 pounds.

Come meet this sweet little guy at Muttville.
