Wag Brigade will soon be patrolling SFO offering stress relief
Another win for dog lovers and stressed out travelers! Begining in December, San Francisco International Airport will be joining LAX, San Jose and Miami International aiports and offering cuddles, courtesy of a new San Francisco SPCA new program called the Wag Brigade.
As part of the SF SPCA's Animal Assisted Therapy Program (AAT), Wag Brigade volunteers will be regularly visiting SFO terminals with their certified therapy dogs. The goal is to provide stress relief and make travel more enjoyable for SFO passengers by inviting them to interact with the dogs.
The eight therapy dogs that will initiate this program have been carefully selected for their temperament and airport suitability. The dogs will wear personalized vests that read "Pet Me!" and identify them as Wag Brigade volunteers.
Come on out to welcome the dogs and their handlers this Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 11 a.m., at SFO Airport, Terminal 2, upper level near Virgin America ticket counter.
