Adoptable Senior Dog of the Week: Hank
This week the senior dog available for adoption is a little bit Jack Russell Terrier, with a dash of mini-Rottie, all rolled into a sweet black and tan bundle. Hank is a fella ready to take on the role of personal assistant and all-around helper.
Come read another special Q&A with Calvin, the terrier from Small Club here in San Francisco, as he interviews sweet Hank… a grouchypuppy.com exclusive! Fall in love with this little guy and find out how you can bring him home.
Q&A with Calvin: HANK, an active senior mutt for adoption…
Calvin here! I'm the mischievous terrier from small club: big adventures for small dogs. This month, I'm interviewing Hank, an active 20 pound mutt rescued by Muttville Senior Dog Rescue. Hank’s helpful nature keeps everyone smiling at “Muttville Manor,” where he hands out petting assignments to volunteers - first on the list is Hank himself!
Calvin: Hank, thanks for having me over to Muttville Headquarters for your interview. How do you like living here?
Hank: Honestly, Calvin, I am excited to get adopted and go to a real home. Don’t get me wrong, I love Muttville. I make myself useful around here by helping with meal prep, cleaning bowls, and assigning volunteers to pet dogs- I’m first in line!
Calvin: What breed are you? I really can’t tell.
Hank: Beats me, Calvin. I’m mostly black with tan markings like a Min-Pin, but I’m pretty tall and weigh 20 pounds. Maybe I’m part Jack Russell Terrier, or maybe I’m a mini-Rottie - look at my stumpy tail!
Calvin: People would like to know how you found your way to Muttville. What happened, Hank?
Hank: I was at the animal shelter in Fremont, CA. The volunteers there saw that I was super special. When no one came to adopt me and my time was almost up, if you know what I mean, they rallied for me! They appealed to Muttville to rescue me. Now I’m one of the lucky seniors who is gonna have a happy ending to my story.
Calvin: Aack... that’s so heartwarming!
Hank: Don’t throw up, Calvin. You had a sweet journey to a home, too.
Calvin: Ok, you’re right. Let’s get to the fun part of this interview… fill in the blanks!
What you like Best about Yourself: My ears - Up? Down? To the side? I’m constantly communicating with my ears.
Favorite thing to do on walks: Is this a trick question? I like to pee on trees.
Favorite Food: Cheeseburger. Paws down.
Favorite Color: Red
Best Place to Nap: No time for naps! I’d rather help my person with whatever they are doing.
Biggest Pet Peeve: Late dinner.
Most Likely To: come back and volunteer at Muttville after my adoption
Best Friend: I lost my best friend. Now accepting applications!
Calvin: Thanks for this interview, Hank! Where should folks go to learn more about you?
Hank: Check out my profile on the Muttville website, then come meet me at Muttville headquarters so we can get to know each other. I can’t wait to meet my match, Calvin. Thanks!
