Literacy Education Assistance Pups celebrated six years of children's reading programs May 16 at the Rehoboth Beach Public Library.
The LEAP teams consist of specially trained dogs and their owners, who visit the Rehoboth library weekly to encourage young readers. Pet therapy dogs offer unconditional attention to readers in a comfortable setting.
The group has been visiting the Rehoboth library from September through May and will return again in September to start its seventh year.
