Nobody likes to hear or feel a rumbling puppy belly. We are all on budgets and yet, wouldn't it be great to help your favorite shelter, rescue group or animal welfare organization?
Here is a wonderful way to help fill a hungry belly and celebrate the joy of Spring!!
From March 15 through April 15, you can nominate your favorite shelter, rescue group and animal welfare organization for the chance to win a ton of dog food.
Two of my favorite magazines, LIFE+DOG and FIDO Friendly Magazines have joined together to present the Great Food Giveaway!
How to enter? The first half of the contest is run through FIDOFriendly.com and LifeandDog.com as well as their pages on Facebook. All you need to do is sign up for their mailing list with your e-mail address and then nominate your favorite animal welfare group.
On April 15th, the group with the most nominations will instantly win 1,000 pounds of food.
- They will then randomly draw a name from the remaining nominations and the selected group will win 500 pounds of food, all generously donated by PetSmart!
The SECOND component of the contest runs through Twitter and is just as easy! All you need to do is tweet the name of the group you want to nominate from your Twitter account!
- Fill in the blank to win: “@lifeanddog, I nominate ______ to win 800# of food #GFG!”
Each week, they will randomly draw an animal group from the nominees to win 200 pounds of dog food. At the end of the contest, the group with the most nominations tweeted will win 800 pounds of food! That’s a total of 1600 pounds of food donated by Fromm Foods and Natural Pawz.
- Only two nominations per account, per day, will be validated: One per day from a nomination to @lifeanddog and one nomination to @fidofriendly.
- All retweets by other users will be counted.
- If you retweet a friend’s nomination, it will also count. Only one original nomination, and not a retweet, will enter you into the contest for prizes.
- Each person that nominates an animal-welfare organization will receive ONE entry into the prize drawing.
At the close of the contest on April 15, the winners for the valuable prizes will be drawn at random from all of the email addresses submitted throughout the month from the Facebook, website and Twitter components.
